Pans Do Not Get Hot

 

 

Possible Cause What to Do
The cooktop cannot detect the pan because it is not suitable for induction cooking Use cookware suitable for induction cooking. See section ‘Choosing the right cookware’ in your User Guide
The cooktop cannot detect the pan because it is too small for the cooking zone or not properly centred on it Centre the pan and make sure that its base matches the size of the cooking zone.
If The heat setting display comes on, but the U_.PNG does not flash when I remove a pan.
_0_.PNG shows in the timer display when I turn on the cooktop
The cooktop is in ‘Display mode’.  Contact Customer Care or your Fisher & Paykel trained and supported service technician.

If U_.PNG appears in the display:

  • The cooktop cannot detect the pan because it is not suitable for induction cooking.
  • The cooktop cannot detect the pan because it is too small for the cooking zone or not properly centred on it.
  • Use cookware suitable for induction cooking. See section ‘Choosing the right cookware’.
  • Centre the pan and make sure that its base matches the size of the cooking zone.
