Wash Cycle Time Longer than Usual
Possible Cause | What to Do |
---|---|
Wash Cycle Selection |
Wash cycle time is approximate and may be affected by the size, distribution, or fabric of the wash load, yet this doesn’t affect the quality of the wash. |
Inlet hoses – filters |
Check the inlet filters on the machine for blockages. Filters on the hot and cold inlet valves can become blocked. Turn off the taps first, then unscrew the hoses at the machine end. Remove the filters with nose pliers and clean if required. |

Out of Balance |
If your washer is out of balance or over-sudsing, its automatic recovery system extends the cycle time, yet this doesn’t affect quality of the wash. |
Cycle time is Approximate | Cycle time is approximate, and influenced by a number of factors, like incoming water pressure, water flow rate and whether there is connection to hot water (if not, the machine will heat the water internally to the required temperature, which may extend the cycle time). The time can also be affected by load characteristics. The washer will automatically update the time remaining on the display with the cycle 'time to go'. |
Low water pressure or flow rate | If the incoming water pressure or flow rate is low, the cycle time will increase due to longer fill times. Ensure that water inlet hose filters are also not blocked (turn off taps, remove hoses and check filters. Flush clean if necessary). |
Load Type / Size | Cycle time may be affected by a number of factors including the load size, distribution and fabric composition of the wash load. Quality of the wash is not affected by these factors. |
Selecting various options | Be aware that some options will extend cycle time. This cycle time change does not affect the functionality of the washer. Wash times may change depending on various factors, and the washer will automatically update the time remaining display from initially estimated. |
Out of balance |
Recovery from an out of balance will extend cycle time. A product's out of balance recovery will extend the cycle time automatically, so the time to go may vary from the initial time displayed. |
Oversudsing Recovery |
Recovery from oversudsing will extend cycle time. A product's oversudsing recovery will extend the cycle time automatically, so the time to go may vary from the initial time displayed. |
